Policies Every Parent Should Know

The following information is drawn directly from the school's admission and withdrawal policy. For the admission steps themselves, see the Admission Process page.

  • The academic session runs from April to March, and the medium of instruction is English.
  • Six Formative Assessments (FA) and one Common Summative Assessment (CSA) are conducted during the academic year, besides class tests.
  • Promotion is granted on the basis of the entire year's performance, covering FA examinations, class work, attendance, assignments, conduct and discipline.
  • Only students who have paid the school fees for the academic year and obtained 85% attendance are eligible to appear in the final examinations.
  • Students absent from an examination or FA for any reason are not re-examined; their promotion is processed on the basis of performance in other tests conducted during the year.
  • Results declared are final in all cases and will not be reconsidered.
  • A fee card is supplied free of charge at the beginning of the school year; a lost card can be replaced for Rs. 50.
  • All students should pay fees by the 26th of every month, after which a fine is charged.
  • Parents should keep the payment receipt as proof of payment if needed.
  • Students absent from school for 15 consecutive days without permission are liable for readmission, and a readmission fee will be charged.
  • The annual fee includes games, audio-visual education, electricity and water.
  • No transfer certificate will be issued until all school dues are paid in full.
  • Punctuality is essential at all times; children who do not observe this rule without valid reason will be penalized.
  • Assignments should be submitted on time, and attendance at school functions is necessary.
  • Any damage done to school premises must be compensated by the student responsible.
  • Belongings such as cardigans, books and water bottles should bear the student's name; the school is not responsible for lost items.
  • Applications for certificates must be made in writing and are issued 48 hours after receipt of the application.
  • No pupil is exempted from games, yoga or physical training without a medical certificate.
  • The school day commences with assembly, and students should arrive at least 5 minutes before the bell rings.
  • All students should come to school neatly dressed in school uniform on all days of the week.
  • Students must be present on the first and last day of each term; an application to the Principal is required for any absence.
  • Students may not offer presents to teachers except with the Principal's special permission.
  • Ensure your child reaches school on time in full, neat uniform, and completes homework daily with neatness.
  • Do not allow your child to carry valuable articles, extra money, electronic gadgets or irrelevant books to school.
  • Pay school fees on time; fees are subject to change as required to meet the school's increasing financial needs.
  • Do not enter the classroom to see your child without the Principal's permission.
  • Please attend parent–teacher meetings whenever informed.
Admission & Withdrawal

Terms of Admission

  • For withdrawal of a student, one month's notice in writing must be given to the office; a discharge certificate is issued only after fees are recovered in full.
  • The management, acting through the Principal, reserves the right to discharge a student deemed unsatisfactory in studies, conduct or discipline, or who fails for two consecutive years in the same class.
  • Irregular attendance, neglect of studies, disobedience and conduct injurious to the moral tone of the school are sufficient grounds for dismissal.
  • The Principal's decision in all matters pertaining to admission and withdrawal is final and binding on all.
